Anaheim Brewery is a revived pre-Prohibition brewery with a Tasting Room and Beer Garden in the Anaheim Packing District. The focus is on fresh, approachable beers.
The first Anaheim Brewery opened in 1870 in downtown Anaheim. The second and third locations were nearby. Then National Prohibition closed the taps in 1920. Today, the fourth home of the Anaheim Brewery is the Packard Building, a 1920s structure within the city’s Historic District.
The light and airy Tasting Room harkens back to Old Anaheim. The 30-foot long vintage wooden bar, provides a panoramic view of the shiny brewery tanks. Even the bar has history – it was salvaged from the old Covered Wagon Saloon, which stood nearby.
The 100-seat Beer Garden looks out onto Farmer’s Park, an oasis in the heart of downtown Anaheim. Relax at an authentic German beer garden table, and lift a cold one with your friends.
Street parking is limited. There’s plenty of space in the parking garages on Center Street Promenade (one block north).
